This RWTS PDFwriter is really great when you are scripting printing. I'm using it as a print driver while debugging scripts in FileMaker Pro (FMP v22, MacOS 15.x, April 2026). Saves a huge amount of paper & is way faster. Also great for using when you are remoted into a Mac far away & are testing some print function. You don't need to call someone (yet again) to ask them how the paper printout looks.! No you just pop open the print queue folder (on the remote computer that sent the print job) & find out immediately. In my use case the Print Dialog box never pops up (by design). This PDF printer driver also works well for situations where it is not practical to use the OS print dialog box to select to print to PDF. Anyway for this kind of use RWTS PDFwriter effing great, and I offer my thanks to the author(s) responsible. Thank you. Together we are saving trees & time. 😃

I remember CutePDF from using old versions of Windows and needing to create PDF files. However, I'm slightly puzzled by this tool. Printing to PDF has been available on MacOS X since the version 1 preview. Does this tool offer capabilities that the built-in capabilities on macOS doesn't?
